Bjork Announces Tracklist & Release Date For Biophilia
The Quietus , August 22nd, 2011 07:50

Biophilia to be released in several different editions on September 27th

Bjork has announced the full tracklist for her upcoming seventh album Biophilia, due for release on September 27th.

Ever ambitious, the Icelandic singer's Biophilia project stretches far beyond a straightforward selection of songs. With the album's uniting of the natural and digital worlds in some sort of uneasy balance, as well as being available on the record each song is available as an app, which allows user interaction with the track itself. You can find out more by reading our recent interview with Bjork, where she talks about the ideas behind the album, and why humans have to learn to work in harmony with nature.

As well as being available as a standard version, Biophilia will also be released in a digipak version with three bonus tracks, and a wildly extravagant 'Ultimate Box Set', priced at £500. Anyone plumping for the super-deluxe version will find it arriving in an oak hinged-lid case, containing an extra CD of exclusive recordings, ten chrome-plated tuning forks and a 48-page hardback Biophilia manual.
