A new edition of Blackest Ever Black's periodic trysts through label boss Kiran Sande's record collection

London label Blackest Ever Black have been spoiling us with the bleak stuff lately, with our recent news update about the label - which you can read here - documenting the start of a new 7" series, plus upcoming records by Gareth Williams & Mary Currie (a reissue of 1985 album The Flaming Tunes) and Cut Hands. They've also announced a label showcase at London's Corsica Studios on 13th October, featuring the UK debut of Dominick Fernow's Vatican Shadow project, alongside BEB labelmates Cut Hands, Young Hunting and Black Rain. With more names to be announced over the coming months, it promises to be one of the nights of the year.

Now label boss Kiran Sande has issued one of his semi-regular mixtapes, which you can listen to below. Entitled 'Dream Theory In Haltemprice', it features a trawl through some beautifully scorched music old and new. It was also available as an extremely limited CDR of 40 copies with artwork, but they've already been snapped up. For more information and the tracklist, head across to the BEB site.

If you want to hear this sort of music being played very loudly in a hot basement, the second of the label's Before My Eyes nights takes place at Stoke Newington's Waiting Room on 16th August. It features Sande, Raime and Demdike Stare, all DJing. Information is available here.
