Alva Noto & Byetone For Supersonic!
The Quietus , July 20th, 2011 11:41

Brum gets pleasingly more German. And Teeth of The Sea!

One of the recent highlights of the Short Circuit Festival was the Thursday night performance by Raster-Noton artist Byetone, who does a fantastic line in propulsive, dark, electronics. We're therefore exploding our capacitors with excitement that he's been added to the bill of this year's Supersonic Festival at Birmingham's Custard Factory. Also making the trip with Byetone will be Raster-Noton boss Alva Noto. This exciting news comes with even more: Teeth Of The Sea are also confirmed to play Supersonic, along with Part Chimp, whose retirement seems no nearer than when they announced it ages ago. Cut Hands, the project by Whitehouse man William Bennett, the magnificent Alexander Tucker, The Berg Sans Nipple and Dirty Electronics will also be along for the ride. Why, it's as if someone had divined the inner workings of our mind and constructed the caper for us - Electric Wizard, Silver Apples, Tony Conrad, Zombi, White Hills, Wolves In The Throne Room, Skull Defekts and more (weeeep) will all be at Supersonic, Birmingham from October 21st to 23rd.
