This Thursday, itinerant frontman Damo Suzuki returns to Cafe Oto for one of his infamous sets that'd it be an insult to term a jam. Just as we were last time, tQ gramophone technicians will be on hand to stir the merriment before, during and after and have even taken a request from Mr Suzuki himself. His band this time features Nik from Factory Floor along with members of NOW, Hook & the Twin and Bo Ningen.

The last time we saw you at Cafe Oto, the gig was smoking and people were stood on the furniture screaming for more! How is the line up different and how about your approach?

I didn't hear anything about next line-up, yet... so, I cannot tell anything. Anyway, it's not only matter of line-up, audience is one of most important on this kind of creativity. It's doesnt matter if I don't know about sound carriers (musicians) until I go on stage... (Surely we make short soundcheck) We'll serve menu of the day, organic and energy share. I like things happen by accident. You know, something happen by accident is always very personal.

**You play a lot of gigs, how do you stay in shape for them?&&

I don't think I've that much gigs, maybe something around 70 or 80 every year. I practice nothing... because it's just like Damo Suzuki.

What do you think of the Fall song, 'I Am Damo Suzuki'?

Maybe there is an naother Damo Suzuki. Everybody would be Damo Suzuki. I'm just Damo Suzuki - ing. Mark E having this song still at his show even it's 25 years old. So, he is getting Damo Suzuki. As I said I just doing Damo Suzuki.

What was your favourite gig with Can and what do you remember about it?

I don't talk about so old story. I was with them just three years... this is only five per-cent of my life. I don't spend time to think about it.

Myself and Luke are DJing at the gigs. What song can we play for you before you come on?

Any classical music which is very peacefull... Maybe a piece from Rachmaninov, Prokofiev.
