Black Sabbath – Born Again

I am going out on a limb here and sawing it off. I recently found (to my amazement) that this is the worst selling Sabbath album of all time. WTF!? Ian Gillan is probably my favorite male rock singer (I loved the ‘Purple, and Jesus Christ Superstar, (original cast recording, not the movie soundtrack) and combined with Tony Iommi’s most blistering guitar sounds and heaviest riffs ever, how can that be? Also saw them on this tour and it was amazing, they had full-sized Stonehenge around the amps for Chrissakes! Born Again is heavier than anything, period, end of story. ‘Trashed’ is an anthem of dissolution and had an awesome video, and the cover – it got banned in 1983 because it was so satanic!

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
