Pioneer CDJ has revealed its latest CDJ model, the CDJ-3000.

Unveiled as the first major upgrade to the company's CDJ range since 2011, the player comes with a number of new and improved features.

The CD drive has been removed from the new model, while a bigger and brighter nine-inch touchscreen has been added.

Amongst the other new features are eight coloured hot cue pads below the touchscreen, a newly designed jog wheel with on-jog display, Beat Jump buttons, a new aluminium faceplate and extra loop buttons for four and eight-bar lengths.

A new Key Sync button allows users to automatically scan harmonically for tracks that have been analysed in Pioneer's rekordbox programme, and a new MPU processor, an upgrade on the DSP-based processor of the previous 2000 range, should make the CDJ-3000 faster and more stable when it comes to scanning for and loading tracks.

The MPU processor will also allow for faster loading of hot cues, higher quality key shifting and tempo stretching, and new features like Touch Preview, Touch Cue and Stacked Waveforms.

All media formats are supported on the new range and link functionality has also been upgraded, allowing DJs to play tracks from a single storage device across six CDJs.
