Band to play biggest headline UK show to date this September; announce new single

Fat White Family have announced their biggest UK show to date with an appearance at Brixton Academy pencilled in for September 17.

The show brings them a long way from their debut appearance at London’s The Queens Head back in 2012 with tickets set to go on sale here on Friday at 9am. “It is with joyous remorse we would like to announce a very special performance at Brixton Academy September 17th, for sweet mother Brixton is on the road to well dressed irrelevance, just another open casket in a city bent on deathly formalities,” said the band of the appearance in their inimitable style. “Nostalgia is no substitute for community and dialogue; that being said, if we cannot prove a good example, let us be the sad reminder. WE SHALL ALL BE CLEANSED.”

The show will see the band supported by a number of bands and DJs who are all set to be announced in the coming months. The band will also release another single from their second album, Songs For Our Mothers, on May 27 in the form of ’Tinfoil Deathstar’.
