Teresa Winter Releases Tape For ‘Documenting Sound’ Series

'Love Crime' is the 30th release in Boomkat Editions' ongoing lockdown-inspired run of records

Teresa Winter has released a new tape as part of Boomkat Editions’ Documenting Sound series.

Titled Love Crime, the six-track, 30-minute release is Teresa Winter’s first full record since 2018’s The Death Of Rave-released What The Night Is For. In-keeping with past Documenting Sound releases, Love Crime was recorded during the first month of the first 2020 lockdown in Winter’s bedroom in Woodhouse, Leeds. You can listen to clips via Boomkat.

Boomkat Editions launched the Documenting Sound series in May of last year as an outlet for music produced by artists in their homes or immediate surroundings during the COVID-19 lockdown. Releases thus far in the series have come from the likes of Regis & Ann Margaret Hogan, Sarah Davachi, Hieroglyphic Being, and Mark Leckey.

Teresa Winter last year contributed to Manchester DJ collective All Hands On Deck’s mix series, piecing together music from Coil, Angel Bat Dawid, Else Marie Pade and more.

Love Crime is out now on Boomkat Editions.
