Sarah Davachi is to release a new album, Antiphonals, this September.
Set for release on her own Late Music label, which was launched last year, Davachi says the new album was "borne of a desire to merge my studio practice with the tonal characteristics and sound-on-sound tape delay processes that have informed my approach to live performance for many years." She further explains that the record "is a return to the sound palette of Mellotron, electric organ, piano, and synthesiser that was developed on 2018’s Let Night Come On Bells End The Day."
This is the latest in a string of releases from Davachi over the last year or so, including the Boomkat Editions-released Gathers tape, live album Figures In Open Air, and double album Cantus, Descant, which was the first release on Late Music. Late Music will release Antiphonals on September 10, 2021.
