Boomkat Editions Releases New Work By Hieroglyphic Being

There's also a new cassette from Ulla Straus as the label continues its 'Documenting Sound' series

Boomkat Editions has released two new tapes from Hieroglyphic Being and Ulla Straus respectively as part of its recently launched Documenting Sound series.

Hieroglyphic Being’s release, The Future Shock Chronicles Vol. 1, was recorded at his Chicago home over the last few weeks and takes in eight tracks. Ulla Straus’ inside means inside me, meanwhile, pairs ambient sounds with recordings of phone conversations and wildlife, recorded over the last few weeks from her base of Philadelphia. Both are out now.

Documenting Sound, a series of releases that sees artists share music recorded in their homes or immediate surroundings during the COVID-19 pandemic, was launched last week with Gathers, a tape by Sarah Davachi.
