Mute and Future Days’ ongoing series of Can live albums will continue in May with the vinyl, CD and digital release of Live In Aston 1977.
Marking the first release in the live series to feature bassist Rosko Gee, who had recently joined the band and remained with them until their split in 1979, Live In Aston 1977 was captured at a difficult period for Can, shortly after their eighth studio album, Saw Delight, was badly received and critically panned. You can get a taste of the release via ‘Vier’ below.
Live In Aston 1977 follows on from the February release of Live In Paris 1973. The series of Can live albums launched in January 2021 with Live In Stuttgart 1975. It was followed in December of that year by Live In Brighton 1975, and by Live In Cuxhaven 1976 in October 2022.
Mute / Future Days will release Live In Aston 1977 on May 31, 2024.
