Elizabeth Fraser To Release New EP For Record Store Day

'Sun's Signature' sees Fraser collaborate with partner Damon Reece

Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser is set to release a new EP for this year’s Record Store Day.

A collaboration with her partner Damon Reece – a drummer who has played with Massive Attack and Spiritualized, among others – under the moniker of Sun’s Signature, the five-track EP will also take the same name. Some of the EP’s tracks bear familiar titles, such as ‘Underwater’, which is the name of a single Fraser released in 2000. Two other songs, ‘Golden Air’ and ‘Make Lovely The Day’, have been performed live before. It’s a rare release from Fraser, who has kept a low profile in recent years, save for collaborations with Oneohtrix Point Never and Jónsi.

Partisan will release Sun’s Signature on April 23, 2022.
