Oneohtrix Point Never has teamed up with Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser for a new alternate version of his 2020 track ‘Tales From The Trash Stratum’.
The original song featured on Daniel Lopatin’s latest LP, Magic Oneohtrix Point Never, and this new version will now appear as part of a forthcoming Blu-Ray edition of the album, which is being released to mark its one-year anniversary. Alongside the original stereo album, this new version includes Dolby Atmos mixes and four bonus tracks, which include a remix of ‘Lost But Never Alone’ with A. G. Cook, a previously released remix of ‘Nothing’s Special’ featuring RosalÃa, and the collaboration with Elizabeth Fraser, which you can listen to above.
Finally, the Blu-Ray edition of the album includes 16 music videos from across Lopatin’s career. These include videos for tracks such as ‘Boring Angel’ and ‘Animals’, the latter of which stars Val Kilmer, and a Safdie Brothers-directed visual for ‘The Pure And The Damned’.
Warp Records will release Magic Oneohtrix Point Never (Blu-Ray Edition) on October 29, 2021.
