Star Trek: First Contact 1996

The Borg were a Next Generation phenomenon and thus only a commie reference after the fact. The recurring Soviet stereotypes of robotic obedience and industrial standardisation and the ability to 'convert' and assimilate free peoples to their cause are all there. It is interesting then in the film that they scrap the socialist idea of decentralized power in favour of a female leader.
