Dave Gibbons On The Origins Of The Watchmen
Matt Kaufman. , January 6th, 2009 12:05

Is there anything that he would do differently now? What is the future of the comic book? And, does a certain deity actually reside in Alan Moore's beard? Matt Kaufman talks to Dave Gibbons.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978

This is probably the best and most complete allegory of the 'Red-Scare' paranoia that dominated the McCarthy era. We're only listing the 1978 version because it is scarier and has Leonard Nimoy. The even more recent Invasion with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig features some good performances but with the Cold War so far in the past the fear seems more abstract.
