Bristol’s Simple Things has announced its 2019 line-up featuring headliners Holly Herndon, Ata Kak and A Certain Ratio, amongst others.
The festival will also host Avalon Emerson, Nilüfer Yanya, Kode9, who will play a live audiovisual set with animator Kōji Morimoto, and Aïsha Devi.
DJ sets at the all-dayer will come from Laurel Halo & Parris (playing back-to-back), object blue, Josey Rebelle, Facta, Andrew Weatherall, Bruce, SIREN, Dr. Rubinstein and Girl Unit, amongst others.
Live highlights include Big Joanie, Snapped Ankles, Melt Yourself Down, Chelou, Biig Piig, Murlo, Free Love and W.H. Lung. William Basinski, Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand will all join up to present a special world premiere of a piece called ‘10000 Peacock Feathers in Foaming Acid’ as part of a festival opening concert at Bristol’s IMAX Theatre on October 18, ahead of the main day of the festival.
