A week of special events will take place at Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts this September to kick off the arts space’s autumn series of events, with Holly Herndon and UNKLE’s James Lavelle among those set to play.
Taking place across five nights from September 19-23, the shows will kick off with an appearance from Plaid and Felix’s Machines with the Warp duo teaming up with Felix Thorn to present a special audiovisual treat featuring new music.
The following night, cellist Oliver Coates will play on a bill that also features People Like Us, the project of audiovisual artist Vicki Bennett. Holly Herndon presents a live show on September 21 which is expected to feature material from an upcoming album.
James Lavelle presents UNKLE sounds with a special DJ set on September 22, also taking in visuals, while the series closes on September 23 with multidisciplinary artist Ryoji Ikeda presenting ‘supercodex’, which uses "raw data and mathematical models to generate music and projections".
Wolfgang Voigt will visit the centre on October 7 following the initial series of events for a live Gas show.
Tickets are on sale now for all of the events, and you can purchase those, as well as find more information on each event, here.
