Brian Eno & David Byrne – My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts (Sire, 1981)

This is one of the most influential 20th Century records. You can hear it in minimal music and it has omnipresence. The lessons I learnt from Eno and Byrne were that you could mix and match samples with real music electronically.Eno & Bryne sampled [Algerian muslims reciting from] the Koran on 'Qu'ran' an original track from My Life; which was soon removed for obvious reasons.
