Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978

This is probably the best and most complete allegory of the 'Red-Scare' paranoia that dominated the McCarthy era. We're only listing the 1978 version because it is scarier and has Leonard Nimoy. The even more recent Invasion with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig features some good performances but with the Cold War so far in the past the fear seems more abstract.
