Following on from last year’s first edition, Newcastle upon Tyne’s TUSK Festival have announced that they will be returning again this year. Running from October 5th-7th, proceedings will hinge around a single venue, the Star & Shadow, and feature a number of names from the experimental/noise/dance underground.
The festival have now announced an impressive first raft of acts for the weekend: Japanese noise legend Keiji Haino (pictured above), Chicago’s purveyor of dilapidated disco and Afrofuturist club noise Hieroglyphic Being, drone crew Pelt, and Gate, a side project of The Dead C’s Michael Morley. Across the course of the weekend a number of panel discussions, films, workshops and installations will also be taking place.
Early bird tickets for the entire weekend are on sale at £25.00 a pop from here. Day tickets will be going on sale soon, keep an eye out for more info at the festival’s website.
