Tim Burgess Shares Video For New Track, ‘Laurie’

"'Laurie' is a love letter to the future from the past," Burgess says

With the release of his new album, I Love The New Sky, now five weeks away, Tim Burgess has shared a new track called ‘Laurie’, alongside an accompanying video which you can watch above.

"’Laurie’ is a love letter to the future from the past," Burgess says of the track, adding that it offers "an uplifting view of the world, written about a time when it’s hard to find positivity, but when you need optimism more than anything else."

The part-animated video is directed by Callum Scott-Dyson and features filmed content by Nik Colk Void. It follows on from previous tracks ‘The Mall’ and ‘Empathy For The Devil’ which Burgess has shared from the album over the last couple of months.

Bella Union will release I Love The New Sky on May 22, while Burgess has rescheduled his spring UK tour in support of the album to October. You can find the new dates here.
