Throbbing Gristle and Mute have detailed an upcoming series of reissues, set to start on the 40th anniversary of the release of their debut album, The Second Annual Report.
On November 3, The Second Annual Report will be reissued on limited edition white vinyl in the original packaging and also on double CD.
20 Jazz Funk Greats will also receive the reissue treatment, on both green vinyl and double CD. The Taste Of TG: A Beginner’s Guide to Throbbing Gristle will be available on the same day too with an updated tracklist including ‘Almost A Kiss’ from 2007’s Part Two: Endless Not. This will be the first time it’s been made available on vinyl, with the record set to be pressed on double red vinyl along with a CD and digital release.
Check out ‘United’, originally released as a 7” on Industrial Records in 1978 and set to feature on The Taste Of TG, above.
The Second Annual Report was originally released on November 4, 1977 and was Throbbing Gristle’s first album. Mute promises further catalogue releases from Throbbing Gristle in January and April.
The reissues follow Throbbing Gristle’s catalogue being made available on streaming services for the first time earlier this year.
