Thom Yorke has shared a new track called ‘Daily Battles’. You can hear it above.
It features Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea, with whom Yorke has previously worked as part of the band Atoms For Peace, and was written especially for an upcoming Edward Norton film called Motherless Brooklyn. The track came about after Norton approached Yorke with the suggestion that he write a track for the film.
The track will be released on a 7" single, alongside a jazz version of it by Wynton Marsalis, on October 4.
The release of ‘Daily Battles’ follows on from Yorke’s latest solo album, ANIMA, which came out earlier this year. Read our recent feature on the irony of the record and its visual Netflix counterpart here.
