As we’ve previously reported, the Union Chapel are currently in the middle of their Organ Project, celebrating the recent restoration of their 19th-century Henry Willis Organ. Tomorrow night, they’ll be screening Carl Dreyer’s classic 1928 silent film The Passion Of Joan Of Arc, accompanied for the first time by composer Irene Buckley’s new score. It makes full use of the organ, which will be played by the rather well-versed James McVinnie, who’s performed with Philip Glass, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry and The National – have a watch above.
