Rebekka Karijord For Union Chapel Gig

Norweigan singer to play the venue's Organ Project

Rebekka Karijord is set to bring her live show to London’s Union Chapel as part of the venue’s Organ Project next month.

Karijord will be performing her brand of ethereal and ghostly songwriting on July 16, her European spring tour in support of her debut LP We Become Ourselves and topping a bill including Bedroom Community, Linnea Olsson and Small Feet.

The Organ Project itself begins on July 14, and features a mix of artists making use of the chapel’s newly restored 19th-century Henry Willis Organ: also performing is St. Paul’s organist Simon Johnson, Roger B Williams and the Paradisal Players, and there’ll be the London premiere of Carl Dreyer’s 1928 silent film The Passion Of Joan Of Arc, set to a haunting score composed by Irene Buckley – have a watch of the trailer at the foot of the piece.
