We’ve previously lamented the news that ace garage rock five-piece The Jim Jones Revue will be calling time after their current tour. But, as the tour’s name – The Last Hurrah – suggests, they’re not ones to wallow in despair and are set to burn away, all guns blazing. Not only will tQ’s Julian Marszalek be joining the band for their final tour dates to get refres…, sorry, write a feature-length live report, but the band have kindly offered to put two readers on the guest list for their final ever show, on Saturday, October 4, at The Forum in London, which comes after shows in Bristol, Brighton and Norwich over the next three nights. It’ll be one huge final blowout, with a very special guest yet to be announced, lining up alongside Walter Lure, the last surviving Heartbreaker, and John J Presley in support, and an afterparty running until 2 am DJed by Andy Perry and Debra Damage.
