The Body & Sandworm Announce Split LP

Rhode Islands come together for Thrill Jockey release; one of Sandworm's tracks streaming below

There’s no rest for the wicked, eh? And The Body prove said adage by announcing their third release of 2014, a split with fellow Rhode Island bile-merchants Sandworm. It follows I Shall Die Here, their immense collaboration with The Haxan Cloak (who’s given us a rundown of his favourite heavy metal albums as part of The Bug Week on tQ; have a look here) and Released From Love, a split EP with Thou. The two groups have previously worked together, with Sandworm’s Ben Eberle adding vocals to I Shall Die Here and The Body’s 2013 album Christs, Redeemers, while his bandmate Pat Reilly contributed viola to All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood from 2010.

It’s out on Thrill Jockey on October 21, and there’s a first taste in the form of Sandworm’s ‘Desert Warfare’ – have a listen to that below:
