Squarepusher has shared a new taste of his upcoming album, Be Up A Hello, in the form of new track ‘Nervelevers’. You can hear it above.
The song delivers on all the levels you’d want from a Squarepusher track: driving hyperspeed beats, erratic synth layers, completely unpredictable progression and a sprinkling of eardrum-rumbling thuds that make you feel like you’re in a warzone. It’s the kind of clusterfuck of beautiful sounds that only this seasoned artist could put together.
Warp Records will release Be Up A Hello on January 31. The label and Rough Trade shops are presenting a very special release party at London’s Five Miles on February 1, with Squarepusher and special guests DJing from 8pm-4am. Head to Rough Trade for tickets.
