FRIDAY: Sound It Out At The V & A

Next instalment in Friday Late series, featuring contributions from PAN, Helm, Heatsick, Emptyset and more

This coming Friday, January 31, the V&A are set for a particularly fine edition of their late openings series, lining up some of the most forward-thinking, experimental electronic artists to examine "music’s relationship to technology – from analogue to digital, from live streaming to digital manipulation". While the entire programme looks excellent, some particular highlights would be Boiler Room hosting and streaming one-off performances around the museum, some of which will then get manipulated and accompanied by PAN’s Bill Kouligas (above) and Mat Dryhurst, Helm collaborating with percussionist Eli Keszler, Heatsick performing Edgar Allan Poe’s short story ‘Man In The Crowd’ and a film of Emptyset experimenting with the sonic possibilities of an incomplete Gloucestershire mansion.

Entry is free, but it’d be no surprised to find this oversubscribed, so be sure to get there as close to the starting time of 6.30 pm as possible and head to the Facebook event for further details.
