Tresor To Reissue Regis And Female’s Album ‘Againstnature’

The remastered release is out in October

Regis and Female’s 2000 album Againstnature is getting a reissue.

Tresor, the label that originally put out the album, is overseeing the remastered release, which will be available on double-vinyl, CD and digital formats. The reissue includes the track ‘Theme From Streetwalker’, which was previously released on the sixth instalment of the Tresor Compilation series in 1998. You can listen to that track just below.

Againstnature, originally released under the two producers’ own names of Karl O’Connor and Peter Sutton, was a key release in the establishment of the Birmingham techno sound that emerged from the late ’90s into the early ’00s around club nights such as House Of God, and producers such as Regis, Female and Surgeon.

The reissue of Againstnature is the latest instalment in a series of re-releases that Tresor is doing this year to mark the Berlin label and club institution’s 30th anniversary. A 52-track box set taking in new tracks from artists established and new to the label’s roster will also be released in October.

Tresor will release Againstnature on October 15, 2021.
