Overmono have shared details of their third 12-inch release of the year.
The new EP is comprised of two tracks, ‘Diamond Cut’ and ‘Bby’, the latter of which was the final tune the duo produced in their former studio before the building housing it was sold to developers. You can check that track out just below.
Speaking about the studio, Overmono say: "After moving in we ripped up the carpets to expose this amazing wooden flooring and thought to ourselves — ‘why the fuck would anyone cover this up?’ Turns out ink from the old print presses that used to be there still comes up through the floor and makes these grimy swirling patterns that slowly shift over weeks and months. The chords in ‘Bby’ are those ink stains. Woozy and morphing, feeling like they might swallow you up."
The new release follows on from June’s BMW Track / So U Kno and March’s Pieces Of 8 / Echo Rush. The brotherly duo also contributed to the fabric presents compilation series in July.
XL will release Diamond Cut / Bby on November 19, 2021.
