Overmono, the brotherly duo of producers Tessela and Truss, have released a new two-track record, BMW Track / So U Kno.
Out digitally today (June 16), the record is described by the duo as "a tribute to the legacy of our south east London studio." Built in the early ’90s, a number of key electronic music tracks have been made at the studio by previous occupants, a press release explains. "You can feel it in the atmosphere somehow and it’s had a big impact on the direction of our music," the duo are quoted as saying.
The record, which will be released on vinyl this Friday (June 18), is Overmono’s second two-track release of 2021 following on from April’s Pieces Of 8 / Echo Rush. The two tracks on this new record also feature on the duo’s forthcoming contribution to the fabric presents compilation series, which is out in July.
Alongside news of BMW Track / So U Kno, Overmono have also confirmed plans for a headline show at London’s Village Underground on September 16. "Our new live show at Village Underground will be the first time we’ve been able to perform in almost two years," the duo say. "We’ve been writing an insane amount of music over lockdown and this is gonna be the first time we’re able to perform it."
BMW Track / So U Kno is out now on Poly Kicks.
