Nick Cave Shares ‘Earthlings’ Performance Clip

Captured at the Battersea Arts Centre in London for Andrew Dominik's film 'This Much I Know To Be True', the clip didn't make the final cut

Nick Cave has shared a previously unseen clip of him performing the track ‘Earthlings’.

Originally written by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis during the sessions for 2019 album Ghosteen, the song did not ultimately feature on the album. The performance of it, which you can watch above, was captured at London’s Battersea Arts Centre by director Andrew Dominik for the film This Much I Know To Be Truee, but it didn’t make the final cut.

The new clip has been shared to mark the release of a new 7-inch picture disc featuring ‘Earthlings’, which has been made available exclusively via Cave’s collectors’ item-focused web store, Cave Things/a>. The track itself originally featured on 2021’s B-Sides & Rarities Part II compilation, and has been described by the artist as "the missing link that binds Ghosteen together. A lovely song that just got away."
