Next up on RVNG INTL will be an album from Jamal Moss operating under his main Hieroglyphic Being alias in collaboration with J.I.T.U Ahn-Sahm-Bul, an all-star cast that includes Sun Ra Arkestra’s Marshall Allan, former Liturgy drummer Greg Fox and vocalist Shelley Hirsch, among many others. You can listen to a track from the above, entitled ‘Civilization That Is Dying’, above.
Entitled We Are Not The First, the track explores Moss’ various influences, taking in elements of techno, house and jazz as he acts as a kind of ringleader for the various minds that have joined up to form J.I.T.U Ahn-Sahm-Bul. The music was recorded over the course of a week in various sessions in Brooklyn and was then pulled together to form the final album which is due out on October 30.
