A huge second wave of names has been announced for this year’s Unsound in Kraków with a number of exclusive shows among those newly added.
HELM will perform alongside Russian musician Moa Pillar and the Greek Embassy For The Displaced collective on a new collaborative project which sees them explore the landscapes of Siberia, working with personally sourced audio and film.
Israeli conductor Ilan Volkov will collaborate with Body Sculptures and Kraków’s Sinfonietta Cracovia. Body Sculptures is made up of Varg, Puce Mary, Erik Enocksson, Vit Fana and Loke Rahbek.
Robert Lippok will play together with musician Askat Jetegin and visual artist Lillevan, blending field recordings from melting glaciers with electronic music and traditional Kyrgyz instruments. There will also be appearances from Xylouris White, The Dwarfs Of East Agouza and Eomac.
Paula Temple will premiere a new live show, while Tessela and Truss will come together for a live set as part of their Overmono project. Mikael Seifu will present the sound he calls "ethiopiyawi electronic" and Ghanaian DJ Katapila will bring the sounds of the Ga and Twi people together with influencesfrom Detroit and Chicago electronic music.
Also playing are Africaine 808, Don’t DJ, Dodo N’Kishi, DJ Earl (alongside The Era’s Sirr TMO and Dre. F5 and the NAAFI collective consisting of Lao, Fausto Bahia and Mexican Jihad. Staycore affiliates Mobilegirl and Kablam are set to DJ, while Kraków’s Rusalka will play a show incorporating Slavic elements.
If that’s not enough, the line-up as it stands is completed by M.E.S.H., Laura Luna, Fred P, Apeiron Crew, Soichi Terada, Voiski, Lena Willikens, Dr. Rubenstein, Peder Mannerfelt, DJ Olivia b2b Nazira, Stine Janvin Motland and We Will Fail.
