On September 29, Marianne Faithfull releases her new album, Give My Love To London. Alongside guest spots from Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave, there’s also an appearance from Anna Calvi, who co-wrote the first single, ‘Falling Back’. AnOther have just premiered the video for the song, a collaboration between director Martina Hoogland Ivanow and the actress Samantha Morton, shooting it on the island in Sweden where Ivanow lives. Faithfull, Calvi and Morton came together at the first of AnOther’s Spotlight Salon events last month, where Faithfull said of the album’s title track: "I was talking to a young girl recently and I couldn’t understand what she was saying. I think she was speaking this new language called ‘Kardashian’. What she was trying to say was that she thought it was wonderful that I’d written a love song to London, celebrating the wonderful times I’d had in the swinging sixties. I was astounded, and explained that it’s actually a very sarcastic song. It’s also a very ambiguous song – in some ways I do love London but I know I can’t come back. I sort of fell back in love with London again [working on the album] because I had such a great time with the people I was working with."
