Lotic Details New EP, ‘Sparkling Water’

The four-track release sees the US artist continue her connection with the Houndstooth label

Lotic has a new EP on the way, titled Sparkling Water.

Out next month, the release is comprised of reworks of four tracks from her 2021 album Water: ‘Come Unto Me’, ‘Emergency’, ‘Always You’ and ‘Diamond’. Listen to ‘Always You (Sparkling)’ from the record above.

The EP features original brass compositions and was recorded live at Berlin’s Jazzanova Recording Studio. Lotic worked on the arrangements for the record with trombonist and composer Hilary Jeffery, and Orlando de Boeykens (tuba), Baron Arnold (trombone), Kelly O’Donohue (trumpet/trombone) were brought in to the studio for the recording, which was captured in sections.

Houndstooth will release Sparkling Water on July 1, 2022.
