Following weeks of speculation, the LCD Soundsystem reunion has finally been officially confirmed with the news that James Murphy and co. will reconvene to headline April’s Coachella Festival in California.
The speculation about the band’s return was sparked on Christmas Eve after they shared a recently recorded single, ‘Christmas Will Break Your Heart’, online – you can check that out below. There’s no news yet on further touring plans from the band but with a deal apparently signed with live music company AEG Live, it’s expected that further live dates will be announced. There are also rumours that the band will work on new material this year. They will headline Coachella alongside Guns N’ Roses who are also apparently reforming at least some of their classic line-up – it’s unclear as yet what form that reunion will take.
