Laurel Halo and Jessica Ekomane have each contributed a piece to the latest release from Portraits GRM, the imprint run by Shelter Press and INA GRM.
Manifolds / Octavia features extended pieces by the two artists. Ekomane’s ‘Manifolds’ is entirely computer-generated and is said to explore "the multiple possibilities of polyphonic writing", according to a press statement. Halo’s ‘Octavia’, which follows last year’s Atlas LP, is a piece for piano and electronics, and "explores the relationship between melodic motifs and textures". You can listen to both just below.
Manifolds / Octavia is out now on Portraits GRM.
