Kelela is lining up a remix album to accompany her 2023 record Raven.
Titled Rave:N, The Remixes, it doesn’t yet have a release date, nor is there a publicly available tracklist. The US artist has, however, shared one track from the album, an amapiano-influenced remix of ‘Contact’ by UK producer Karen Nyame KG, which you can listen to above. The remix, Kelela said in a statement, hits "supreme levels of sexy" and "makes [her] wanna seduce someone on the dance floor."
Speaking more widely about the project, the artist said: "Sometimes I feel like I make original tracks just to experience the remix. I think about how something will be interpolated while I’m writing and recording."
