Jonny Greenwood To Debut Music At Proms

A new piece from Jonny Greenwood, for this year's BBC Proms, will feature 68 string instruments

Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood is to debut a new piece of music later this year at the BBC Proms.

Titled Horror vacui, the piece will see 68 acoustic string instruments simulate electronic sound, and will be performed on September 10 at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Greenwood will present the piece as part of a "Late Night Prom" programme he is curating, which will also feature Biber’s Passacaglia for solo violin, Steve Reich’s Pulse and more. Find more information here.

Greenwood’s There Will Be Blood soundtrack was made available on vinyl for the first time earlier this year.
