Jeff Mills Announces New Album

'Moon - The Area Of Influence' marks the 50th anniversary of the moon landing

Jeff Mills will release a new album via his own Axis Records next month.

Titled Moon – The Area Of Influence, the LP is being released to mark the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. A press release explains that the productions featured offer Mill’s "interpretations of earth’s moon and its profound effects on us and the planet", and one track takes in vocal samples captured inside a NASA control room.

Axis will release the 19-track Moon – The Area Of Influence on July 19. Earlier this year, Mills launched a retrospective series on Axis which sees him reissue some of his classic productions. In August, he will headline this year’s Dekmantel festival in Amsterdam.
