Jeff Mills To Launch Retrospective Series

The first volume of a new retrospective series from Jeff Mills will include an unreleased version of his track 'Suspense'

Jeff Mills has confirmed plans for a new retrospective series on his label Axis.

The first instalment, titled The Director’s Cut Chapter 1, will feature an unreleased version of his 2005 track ‘Suspense’, as well as ‘Gamma Player’ (which featured on 1995’s Humana), ‘Transformation B (Rottwang’s Revenge)’ from Metropolis 2000 and ‘Hydra And Synergy’ which featured on the more recent Exhibitionist 2.

"Looking back in hindsight to the activity and accomplishments of Axis is with much pride – to witness the relationship between the music and listener evolving to this point," says Mills. "The Director’s Cut reissue project is about manicuring detail. It’s about a rare opportunity to enhance what we’ve done so that the relationship strengthens for the long term."

The first record in the series it out on March 1. Catch up on our feature covering The Strange World of Jeff Mills here.
