Green Man Postpones To 2021 Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

"After many tense weeks analysing the situation, we have had to make this very hard decision," the festival's organisers say

Green Man has postponed its 2020 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Planning to return in August 2021, organisers describe postponing the festival as a "very hard decision" that was made "after many tense weeks analysing the situation."

"Our number one priority will always be your safety, as well as the artists, crew and traders who are a much loved part of our Green Man family," a statement shared by the festival says. "We know the coming months will be hugely testing for all of us, but together we believe we can emerge from this time stronger and more connected than ever before."

All tickets for this year’s festival will be automatically transferred to next year’s edition, which is scheduled for August 19 to 22, 2021. Ticketholders can however obtain refunds if they wish with an email set to be sent out next week sharing details on the process. "It would be enormously appreciated if you held onto your tickets for next year, as these are extraordinarily challenging times for an independent festival like Green Man," organisers add.

This year’s Green Man had been due to host the likes of Michael Kiwanuka, Mac Demarco, Richard Dawson, and Caribou, amongst many others. "We’re speaking to artists about moving to 2021’s dates and will be announcing line-ups and further surprises in the coming months," the festival’s statement says.
