WATCH: Can, ‘Dead Pigeon Suite’

Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard give the video treatment to another track from The Lost Tapes

Can’s The Lost Tapes is one of our favourite records of the year so far (keep an eye out for it in our mid-year Reissues and Compilations chart) – for reasons eloquently outlined by Taylor Parkes here.

Following on from their short film for ‘Messer, Scissors, Fork & Light’, re-enactment provocateurs Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard have created an excellent video for a portion of the baroque-tinged ‘Dead Pigeon Suite’. Animated toys seem to be the common thread here – moving with mechanised precision in time to the music and obscured by blurred, flickering forms. You can watch the video for ‘Dead Pigeon Suite’ below.
