Björk Unveils Second ‘Fossora’ Track, ‘Ovule’

A video for the new cut sees her reunite with director Nick Knight who previously worked on the visual for 'Pagan Poetry'

Björk has shared a second track from her forthcoming album, Fossora.

The new track, ‘Ovule’, has been described in a statement shared by the Icelandic artist as "my definition of love." Its release follows on from the sharing earlier this month of Fossora‘s lead single, ‘Atopos’. Speaking further about ‘Ovule’, Björk said: "It is a meditation about us as lovers walking around this world, and I imagine two spheres or satellites following us around – one above us that represents ideal love, one below us representing the shadows of love – and we ourselves walk around in the third sphere of real love, where the everyday monday morning meet-in-the-kitchen-love lives in."

Alongside the new track, Björk has also shared a visual, which is directed by Nick Knight. The video sees the two reunite after Knight previously directed the visual for Björk’s Vespertine cut ‘Pagan Poetry’ back in 2001.

One Little Independent will release Fossora on September 30, 2022.
