Björk Unveils New Track, ‘Atopos’

She's also shared a video for the new song, which takes place in a fungal forest

Björk has shared the lead track from her forthcoming album, Fossora.

The new single, ‘Atopos’, comes backed with a video directed by London-based filmmaker Viðar Logi. It shows a masked Björk dancing in a fungal forest, accompanied by a bass clarinet sextet and Gabber Modus Operandi’s DJ Kasimyn. You can watch the video above.

In a social media post accompanying the sharing of the video, Björk described ‘Atopos’ as "kinda like Fossora‘s passport." The artist first revealed the existence of the new album in an interview with The Guardian last month, in which she spoke of being inspired by gabber music and small parties that she held with family and friends at her Iceland home amid lockdown.

One Little Independent will release Fossora on September 30, 2022.
