Following the announcement last week that Bill Callahan would be releasing a new album this September, he’s now shared the first cut from it, ‘Pigeons’.
"’Pigeons’ is set in the heart of Texas, where from the wheel of his long white limousine, a man observes… and pontificates," a press release explains of the track. You can hear it above.
Callahan will release a new track from his forthcoming album, Gold Record, every Monday right up until its release date in September. The album was described in a press release last week as an album of singles, and was written while Callahan was touring his 2019 LP Shepherd In A Sheepskin Vest.
Drag City will release Gold Record on September 4, 2020.
