Berlin Atonal has unveiled the lineups for its Metabolic Rift events programme.
Originally announced last month, Metabolic Rift encompasses an exhibition and tour of the Kraftwerk complex in Berlin, which is the usual home of the festival, as well as a series of events featuring live performances/ It’s now been confirmed that the likes of Tim Hecker, Space Afrika, Actress, Ziúr, Moritz von Oswald Trio, Vladislav Delay, Klein, and Shackleton + Wacław Zimpel, among others, will play across the event series.
Caterina Barbieri is also scheduled to bring her new Light-Years concept to the Kraftwerk building, with the artist performing live alongside Bendik Giske, Nkisi and Caner Teker on October 21. The full event series will take place across six dates, between September 26 and October 30.
The exhibition and tour of the building is currently open for pre-booked visits between September 25 and October 30. The exhibition will be made up of a number of site-specific commissions by various sound and visual artists, such as Lyra Pramuk, Pan Daijing, Vladislav Delay, Hieroglyphic Being with Cyprien Gaillard, Amnesia Scanner’s Ville Haimala with Sung Tieu, and Rigobert Nimi. Exhibition visitors will be able to experience the installations while exploring previously unused parts of the Kraftwerk building.
All exhibition tours will take place in small groups, according to local coronavirus restrictions, with the full Metabolic Rift tour lasting two hours. Find more information about the project, and the events, here.
