Metabolic Rift will run from September into October, and will be housed at the festival's Kraftwerk complex home

Berlin Atonal has announced a new exhibition project, taking place this year in place of the usual festival.

Metabolic Rift is an exhibition and tour of the Kraftwerk complex in Berlin, which is the usual home of the festival. It will be open for pre-booked visits from September 25 to October 30.

The exhibition will be made up of a number of site-specific commissions by various sound and visual artists, such as Lyra Pramuk, Pan Daijing, Vladislav Delay, Hieroglyphic Being with Cyprien Gaillard, Amnesia Scanner's Ville Haimala with Sung Tieu, and Rigobert Nimi. Exhibition visitors will be able to experience the installations while exploring previously unused parts of the Kraftwerk building.

All exhibition tours will take place in small groups, according to local coronavirus restrictions, with the full Metabolic Rift tour lasting two hours. You can book a preferred date and time slot for a visit here.

Berlin Atonal will also accompany the exhibition with a series of seated concerts at the Kraftwerk complex, featuring artists in line with Berlin Atonal's usual programming. The lineup is yet to be announced, with the concerts scheduled for September 26 and 30, plus October 7, 14, 21 and 30.
